2009 & 2010 Visitors to Firey Trails
Olivia Hamilton - Age 9 at her Firey Trails Birthday Party We remember well in 2009, when Olivia Hamilton's mother, Jennifer, called to schedule a birthday at Firey Trails for a date in November that year for Olivia's 8th birthday party. She mentioned how much Olivia loved animals and how much Olivia was looking forward to her Firey Trails party. Just a week or two before the scheduled date, Jennifer and David Hamilton learned the sudden news of Olivia's cancer diagnosis. Obviously, they had to postpone Olivia's party that was to be held in a few days - but wanted us to hold their deposit-as a sign of hope-toward a future birthday party for Olivia. We are happy to say that Olivia has responded well to treatment and she was able to have her birthday party at Firey Trails in November of last year, 2010 - a year later that what was originally planned. Our hopes and prayers continue to be with Olivia as she finishes her treatment this coming February - 2012. Below is a well produced ESPN piece (posted on YouTube) that was broadcasted on Sept. 24, 2011 on the weekly Game Day show about Olivia and her challenges but also her touching and special friendship with Justin Blackmon of the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
