Firey Trails Has Hosted All These Event Types Below
|
(Thanks to Joelle McMillen for a great picture of her in front of the bonfire at her 17th Birthday Party at Firey Trails on October, 15, 2010)
Also, Firey Trails can be enjoyed during the daytime which is great for younger birthday parties, exploring, feeding the animals, and games OR in a different way at night which offers a different atmosphere of the magically lit surroundings (great for teens and birthday parties for adults.) If the time frame is scheduled just right (knowing what time the sun will set), you can enjoy a little of both daylight and then night surroundings after sunset. Some things such as animal feeding work well for both since our petting zoo is lit after dark. Also, we've hosted three surprise birthday parties for both adults and children. Firey Trails works great for these also. From 2008 through the 2010 season, we have hosted over 30 birthday parties for a variety of ages. Everyone from age 2 to age 70 in age - and recently had someone schedule two years in a row for the same child. Over the past couple of years, Firey Trails has evolved into a birthday party place of growing popularity. Therefore, it pays to plan and schedule early because of our crowded calendar-especially during the Autumn time of the year. If you are interested in scheduling a party with us, please check our web Event Calendar (updated immediately) and give us a call. See a note about our RATES for birthday parties below:

PLEASE BE AWARE ABOUT OUR RATES Our rate structure is based on the number of people (no matter the mix of kids, teens, adults) that you expect to come to your event and will be exclusively accessing our grounds during your scheduled event. - This is the number of guests that we will prepare for (see below and please be aware about children's and teen's parties).
PLEASE READ - On the subject of Birthday Parties for Kids or Teens We are sometimes asked if the parents who are accompanying their kids or teens to Firey Trails are counted in the group size. Yes, they are for a couple of reasons. First, we are not at all a typical birthday party venue, such as Bounce U, Laser Quest, Pump It Up or Incredible Pizza, etc. whose appeal is marketed toward mainly kids - with parents present mainly for supervision and the pacing of kids eating and activities. Unlike these other places, we do not necessarily gear our venue for kids or teens - but Firey Trails just happens to work great for these type of birthday parties - (AS WELL as adult birthday parties with NO kids present.) We do not market ourselves this way-our venue versatility has made it to where it has just happened this way for the past several years. A Firey Trails event lends itself well to all ages, no matter if he or she is the star attraction, parent or guest - we've hosted parties for kids of 2 to a grandmother of 70 and also groups of mostly kids with a few supervising adults, but also many groups of only adults. (Look at the groups on our slide show on our Group Photo page to fully illustrate this.) A Firey Trails event is flexible to appeal to all ages (with age appropriate activities) whereas a typical kids venue cannot claim this. For instance, kids might participate in a Karaoke contest or bring out their favorite current MP3 playlist, whereas Grandma might have her favorite classic country hits playing through the amplification we provide. Whereas a kids party is usually full of energetic kids running around, it can also be comprised of a bunch of teens hanging out by the fire or exploring, or adults just unwinding and visiting around the fire enjoying the grounds in a different way than kids will do. We've been told by many parents that part of the appeal of Firey Trails was that parents and other adults could have a good time along with the kids...and didn't feel they were just along for the ride. Enjoyment could include a hayride but could be as simple and talking, relaxing and unwinding by a mesmerizing fire in a festive or scenic ambiance that surrounds you. Secondly, as great and different as birthday parties seem to be, set-up and break-down by us is overall the same for any type of group we host during each exclusive event. We have hosted everyone from church groups, football squads, fraternities, company picnics, and as an afterthought since 2005, birthday parties. But birthday party groups for kids or teens seem to be the only time we are sometimes asked about our rate structure by total group size in attendance. The preparation is as time intensive to set up and break down for 5 people as it is for 40. Also unlike most hayride attractions, hayrides are only part of this unique overall experience. This is why our schedule is busier every year because of repeating groups-and ever increasingly popular birthday parties. So while we acknowledge that our rate structure is not typical (as the more common kid's or teen's birthday venue), our Firey Trails event experience is not typical either. We understand that our rate structure will not meet up with everyone's expectations of a birthday venue for kids and teens. We are not trying to compete with the other typical birthday event places - in our unique offerings or otherwise. (We don't know of any other venue set up just like we are.) We realize there are many birthday party options to consider besides us - and want to make website viewers fully aware of our rate structure before scheduling and mailing a deposit to secure the date. And as we want all of our guests to be fully informed, we also want them to be completely satisfied with their Firey Trails experience and giving glowing reports after the fact as most do (and the growing list of repeat groups attest.) We always find it necessary to turn away a few callers because of a full, limited calendar and lack of week-end dates so we want to be very upfront on how we are set up to do business before you schedule, so possible dates can remain free for scheduling with some other group should you not find all of this agreeable. We hope that this adequately explains as far as our rate structure is concerned. Thanks for reading. (Our preparations include: Making sure our Firey Trails grounds are properly groomed, arranging our family schedule to accommodate your event-sometimes leaving our other full time work early to do this, building in advance and maintaining of the firepit with a ready supply of wood nearby, several steps of lighting 2-3 acres of the grounds, configuring, setting up and cleaning the serving tables and picnic tables, directing parking on larger groups, providing the right number of cleaned roasting forks, cleaning and outfitting the modern restrooms onsite for each group, providing complimentary roasted peanuts in the shell (upon request), assisting and directing guests on our grounds, transferring of animals to our petting area from the main corral, making sure our guests have accessible feed, and of course, the number of hayrides we will be providing your group. Since we are out in the weather, this also means spending an hour or so breaking down things to some extent after each event day is finished in case of rain.) On the Subject of Music Playlists for Amplification IMPORTANT - Only Music rated "E" for Everyone allowed to be played, please. This has been stipulated briefly in the past on our website but not taken too seriously by a party group or two. We reserve the right to prohibit amplification of any explicit music in nature or rating on our private property (Definition: Music containing any offensive or profane language, sexually graphic or otherwise inappropriate material for all ages.) We market ourselves as only a family friendly enterprise & environment and offer to play only music that supports or at least, doesn't take away from this image we've tried to build up over the years. We prefer that this issue be dealt with BEFORE a group chooses to schedule with us rather than it be a possible conflict later while an event is going on. We don't want to surprise your party group with rules you were unaware of or happened to overlook - but we also do not want to be surprised on our end with what we deem as objectionable material we must listen to while we are on stand-by working your event on our grounds. We want the entire experience (yours and ours) to be fun and positive. Catering to so many different kinds of groups currently in a very limited calendar, we want there to be no future ambiguity as to our policy as you consider scheduling. Thank you.
